Bybit Account and API Key Creation

In order to use Orion Terminal with Bybit, you must have an account that was created with the Orion referral code. Register now.

1. After you click on the link, you can create your account following these steps:

2. After putting your email and password in, double check that the referral code is added and tap on "Get My Welcome Gifts"

3. Solve the captcha upon logging in.

Tip: The next steps are for creating API Keys. In order to have API keys on your account, you need to setup Google 2FA. Once you have setup Google2FA on Bybit, continue on for setting up your API Keys.

4. On The home screen, tap on your account and then tap on "API"

5. Click "Create New Key"

6. Click "System-generated API Keys"

7. Click "Connect to Third-Party Applications "

8. Click on "Application Name"

9. Type "Orion" and press Enter

10. Click "Read-Write "

11. Click the top box to select all types of actions.

12. Click "Submit"

13. Enter your Google 2FA code

14. Your new API Key and API Secret will be displayed, you will only see this screen once, so copy the Key And Secret as follows:

15. Open any Note app (NotePad for windows, Apple Notes, etc...)

16. Click to copy "API Key"

17. In your Note app, paste the key

18. Now copy your "API Secret"

19. Paste your API Secret in your Note App

20. Go to your Orion Terminal

21. Type "login bybit" and press Enter

22. A prompt for "Account name" will appear -- type in your account name (typically your email you created your account with)

23. You will now have a prompt for "api_key", copy your api key (making sure its only the numbers and letters, no quotes or other characters like "key") and paste into the terminal and press Enter.

Alert: Some versions of Windows power shell does not have CTRL + V as a binding for paste , which you can right click on the terminal window and that should paste your clipboard. macOS and Linux terminals do not have this issue.

24. After you paste your api key and press enter, a prompt for the "api_secret" will appear. Copy your secret and paste into the terminal and press Enter.

25. You will see green text showing a successful login to the terminal and your API keys successfully installed.
